Co-owners Lucas Battey and Randi Taylor
We first met in Antarctica. Yup. Lucas was there cooking for a summer season, I arrived two months before he left. We hit it off! He left. We said we would keep in touch while I was there baking for the winter season which was 6 more months, and we actually did. Once I got back to the states we went to Alaska, where we cooked and baked at a fishing lodge for 6 months. Then road tripped back to Vermont. Then we left. We went to Mexico, but this time just for fun. We were there for three months, eating, exploring, and finally being warm. Once we came back to Vermont we decided to stay for a bit, Lucas is from central Vermont and has family nearby. We found jobs and started to really make a home for ourselves, all the while talking about what our restaurant would look like when we started one. We came up with a lot of ideas. Mostly, we wanted to share the food that we love to eat. Thats the reason for all of the different cuisines and dishes.
